I know I've been promising updates, and I'm really going to try to write more today. EDIT: Sorry, I have to postpone my update until tomorrow. I promise I will get some work done. --Last edited by Colour Me Stupid on 2007-08-13 15:09:35 --

Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates, I know I kept promising, but shit kept coming up. I’m going to need a new word, so if anyone has one, feel free to share. So, anyway, here is my latest installment. Roller Coaster “Oh come on Jakob, it won’t be that bad.” Eight-year-old Jakob Armstrong pouted and crossed his arms. “I’m not going on that roller coaster,” he said again. His older brother Joey sighed. “Come on. It will be fun, I promise. Mom and dad are going on it too. You don’t want to be left out do you?” Joey knew how Jakob hated to be left out or to feel unloved. The Armstrong family was taking a much needed vacation for a week to Disney Land. Billie Joe had been working in the studio constantly, writing songs for the new Green Day album. Adrienne had had her hands full with two young boys, so everyone agreed, they all needed a break. They were all looking forward to going on fun rides, the nice weather, and taking a break, all except Jakob. As the family waited in line for the ride, Billie Joe tapped his foot impatiently. The petite man tried to peer over people’s heads to see how fast the line was moving. He sighed. “I want to go on this ride. I hear it makes you throw up.” Adrienne rolled her eyes. Her husband could act like such a child sometimes. “Billie Joe,” she said, “is that all you care about, throwing up on a ride?” Billie Joe smiled and nodded. “Yeah. I already ate so I think I’m going to puke.” What he said was true. Earlier, as they made their way around the park, Billie Joe had eaten three corndogs, two slices of pizza, and a large root beer. It was enough to make Adrienne sick. “Aren’t you excited?” Billie asked his two sons. Joey nodded and smiled happily, but Jakob continued to pout. “I hate roller coasters,” he mumbled. Billie frowned. “Well, you have to go on it anyway. We can’t just leave you out here by yourself. Trust me, you’ll have fun.” Jakob shook his head. “No I won’t.” Soon, the line started moving again and they all made their way up to the front. When it was their turn to board the ride, Billie Joe was bursting with excitement. “I’m so happy,” he gushed. “I can’t wait to throw up.” “You’re not going to throw up,” Adrienne said. “I’m sitting right next to you. If you puke on me, consider yourself dead.” Billie Joe laughed. Joey took a seat behind his parents and Jakob sat next to him, still pouting. As the ride started, it clinked up and up and up, and even farther. Soon, they were so far up in the sky, they could look out over the whole park. Everyone braced themselves, then, the roller coaster dropped. The ride twisted, turned, dropped, and looped. After five minutes of heart-wrenching excitement, the ride finally stopped. Billie Joe leaned over to the right, away from Adrienne, and out came his lunch. He wiped his mouth and laughed at everyone’s appalled faces. They all stepped out of the ride, except Jakob. His mouth was wide with surprise. “Come on Jakob,” Adrienne said, “let’s go.” Jakob’s surprised and terrified expression slowly turned into a great big smile. “Can we do that again?”
